1. Booth Application
(1) Booth application forms should be sent to the Osaka
International Trade Fair Commission, at the address below.
(hereinafter referred to as the Secretariat).

(2) Deadline for application: June 30 (Mon.), 2008
(Even before the deadline, acceptance of applications
will close when the exhibition space is filled.)
(3) Upon receipt of the application form, the Secretariat
will send an invoice. Payment should be transferred to
the Secretariat's bank account by the appointed date.
Exhibitors are responsible for the bank handling charges. |
2. Contract
Upon acceptance of the application form by the Secretariat,
the contract between the exhibitor and the Secretariat
is regarded as binding. |
3. Cancellation and discharge
of contract
(1) Cancellation of booth application and discharge of
contract after receipt of the application form will not
be admitted.
Only when the Organizers decide the cancellation is inevitable,
the exhibitor may terminate the contract by first notifying
the Organizers of the cancellation in writing and then
paying the stipulated cancellation fee. The cancellation
date
shall be the date the written notice is received by the
Organizers and the cancellation fee stipulated below will
be charged accordingly:

(2) In the case that the exhibitor does not begin preparing
for the exhibition by October 20 (Mon.), 2008 without
having informed the Secretariat, the contract will be
void, and the Secretariat will not refund the total booth
rental fee. |
4. Exhibits
(1) The exhibits acceptable to the Show will be confined
to the items listed in the Classification of Exhibits.
(2) Display of the following commodities is strictly prohibited:
arms, guns, swords, ammunition, goods of a dangerous substance
such as explosives, inflammables, radioactive materials,
etc., poison, narcotics, goods infringing upon other's
industrial property, goods prohibited for import and domestic
sale, as well as goods which the management of the Secretariat
considers obstructive to the administration of the Show.
(3) Display of the following commodities is strictly prohibited:
goods of a dangerous substance, goods infringing upon
other's industrial property, goods prohibited for import
and domestic sale, as well as goods which the management
of the Secretariat considers obstructive to the administration
of the Show. |
5. Immigration and Customs
Formalities
In the case that the exhibitor requires the entry formalities
to Japan, all procedures and expenses shall be borne by
the exhibitor. The Secretariat shall not be liable. If
the exhibitor is obliged to terminate the contract due
to entry restrictions for any reason, the exhibitor shall
pay the stipulated cancellation fee stated in the cancellation
and lapse of contract section. |
6. Booth allotment
(1) The Secretariat will allocate booth locations and
notify each exhibitor.
(2) The Secretariat's decision is final and it is not
subject to dispute by the exhibitor. The Secretariat reserves
the right to charge any booth location, if necessary,
even after notification of booth allocation.
(3) Exhibitors will not be allowed to transfer or rent
all or a part of the allotted booth(s) to a third party
with or without payment, or undertake any exchanges between
exhibitors. |
| 7. Date of Delivery, Assembly
and Removal of Exhibits
(1) Show Period: October 21 (Tues.) -24 (Fri.), 2008
10:00 - 17:00 (16:00 on the last day)
(2) Moving-in of exhibits and assembly of booths:
October 19 (Sun.) -20 (Mon.), 2008 9:00 - 17:00
(3) Moving-out of exhibits and disassembly of booths
October 24 (Fri.), 2008 16:30 - 20:00 |
8. Electricity
(1) Type of electricity supplied to booth.
* A.C.1-phase, 2 /3-wire system, 100/ 200v, 60 Hz
* A.C.3-phase, 3-wire system, 200v, 60Hz
(2) The Secretariat will install, in compliance with the
exhibitor's request, electric main supply lines to the
assigned booth.
(3) Electric work within the booth must be carried out
by exhibitors at their own expense.
(4) The exhibitor must bear the electric power consumption
fee as well as part of the main supply line's installation
fee separately, according to the tariff set by the Secretariat. |
9. Telephone, Fax Machine,
ADSL and Optical Cable
(1) At the request of the exhibitor, the secretariat will
install a telephone/fax machine, ADSL line and Optical
Cable within the exhibitor's booth.
(2) Installation fees and call charges will be fixed by
the secretariat separately and must be borne by the exhibitor. |
10. Water, Gas and Compressed
Air
(1) By request of the exhibitor, the secretariat will
install these supplies up to the duct in the booth.
(2) The installation work of these supplies within the
booth must be carried out by exhibitors at their own expense.
(3) The installation fee will be fixed by the secretariat
separately. |
11. Exhibitors' Responsibilities
(1) If the exhibitor carries out flooring work or alters
the facilities of the fairgrounds, they must be restored
completely to their original state after the Show. When
the Secretariat executes the restoration work, because
restoration by the exhibitors is insufficient or incomplete
or not done within the stipulated time, expenses resulting
from such work will be borne by the exhibitor.
(2) Exhibitors are requested to pay every attention to
the prevention of accidents that may arise in all stages,
from transportation, delivery and set-up, display, demonstration,
etc., to the removal of the exhibits. When the Secretariat
deems it necessary, the Secretariat may order the exhibitor
to restrict or suspend these operations, or take appropriate
measures for the prevention of accidents. If an accident
occurs due to the exhibitor's negligence, the exhibitor
shall be held responsible. |
12. Protection of exhibits
(1) The Secretariat shall undertake, through the auspices
of a capable manager, the protection and maintenance of
the fairgrounds as a whole. Custody of Exhibits and other
related materials shall be the responsibility of the exhibitor.
The Secretariat shall not be liable for compensation of
exhibitors' losses whatsoever, whether caused by theft,
misplacement, fire breakage or any other accident that
may arise within the fairgrounds.
(2) It is prohibited to take photographs, copy, measure
or make models of the materials exhibited without permission
of the exhibitor or of the Secretariat.
(3) The exhibitor is requested to insure exhibits and
related materials against all presumable risks for the
whole period of transportation and display, and also take
necessary measures for the safeguarding of those materials. |
13. Exemption Clause
(1) The Secretariat may suspend or alter the dates of
the Show due to circumstances beyond its control, such
as a natural calamity or other force majeure. In no way
shall the Secretariat be liable for compensation of exhibitors'
losses caused by such suspension or alternation. However,
if it is decided not to hold the show before its opening
date, the secretariat shall refund wholly or in part the
booth rent paid by the exhibitor.
(2) The Secretariat reserves the right to alter the dates
of the show or part of the General Regulations due to
unavoidable circumstances. |
